What it is
The quintessential flip trick: the board spins 360 degrees along its long axis toward the rider's backside mid-ollie. Invented by Rodney Mullen in 1982.

Kickflip
How it works
- Pop an ollie, then slide the front foot up and flick it off the heel-side edge of the nose.
- The flick spins the board lengthwise; the rider waits for the griptape to come back around, catches it with the front foot, and lands bolts.
